A Voyage of Discovery; An Honest Opinion

The idea that there are hundreds of beautiful places and sights to see right in front of our very eyes is an idea that is quite easily over-looked and put on the shelf as soon as the generic holiday brochure falls at our feet.

However, these last few recession-wary years, more than ever, have tested the patience of many and the notion of any kind of decent holiday break is one that, with plenty of other things to worry about, falls to the bottom of our lists. Like most, it is with hesitancy that I approached this article but and, that’s a big but, very surprisingly, with a few clicks on different websites, I found myself relishing what is on offer from a motorhome and, to no greater shock than my own, I’m now leaning towards the possibility of a motorhome holiday!

Why not? With a few clicks of a mouse I have been transported to various wonderful campsites in the UK and, with excitement, have just finished planning a fantastic motorhome holiday across Europe.  Hoorah!

Destinations decided, I have categorically adopted the conclusion that I HAVE to go for two weeks. Minimum.

I’m not going to kid myself and expect 5* luxury however, there are more appealing features that you can’t put a price on. Not having to be up between 7-9 for breakfast, snacks at ANY time of the day and whatever I fancy for dinner that night, not what a hotel decides to put out in the buffet restaurant/feeding ground.

Don’t get me wrong, if you were to meet me, a motorhome holiday is the last place you would expect to see me, but I write this article out of pure honesty and intrigue, hoping that I’m not the only one out there that previously felt like this!

My budget won’t stretch to the likes of a 5 berth state-of-the-art, multi-entertainment, super-star camper, however, I am more than happy to realise now, that a holiday is what you make it and I’m sure that I’ll make this holiday one to never forget.

Here’s hoping I can persuade the boyfriend.
