Southern Motorcaravan Show 2014
Last week saw the Southern Motorcaravan Show 2014 take place in glorious sunshine. Thousands of visitors and campers made their way around the show soaking up the beautiful weather and enjoying everything that was on offer.
This year as the ‘Newbury’ show was well underway plenty of people took advantage of the exclusive offers and exhibitions on display. From essential accessories to leisure lifestyle trimmings, motorhome and caravan lovers were in accessory heaven!
New to 2014 was the sixties theme which evidently pleased a huge number of people as the groovy decade was celebrated over the four nights. Live shows from Dream Supreme, The Gillettes, The Fortunes, The Ivy League and Forever in Blue Jeans were free for all campers whilst tickets to the headline act on the Saturday night were available to purchase to anyone that camped but soon sold out before the show! Taking to the stage on Saturday evening were The Dreamers followed by Marmalade and topped off by the legendary Marty Wilde & The Wildcats.
Embracing the sixties theme was a specially designed display of sixties campervans that were showcased around the exhibition area – including the catering in a vintage Air-stream style trailer!
The show was an overall success and many people left with huge smiles on their faces, already looking forward to next year’s show.
