The top motorhomes under 25K according to Which Motorhome?
Which Motorhome, the UK’s number one magazine for motorhome testing, has recently completed its test of used motorhomes under the £25k price point.
Four West Country based dealerships supplied the seven motorhomes that are all designed to appeal to first time buyers.
The seven motorhomes put into the category for testing were a 2007 Chausson Flash 08, a 2009 Elddis Sunseeker 150, a 2004 Bürstner Active 625, a 2004 Dethleffs Advantage Elegance, a 2006 Swift Sundance 590PR, a 2009 Mobilvetta Top Driver P81, and finally a 2005 Adria Coral 680 SL.
The reason behind the coachbuilt motorhomes being chosen for the test is due to their popularity, as they are most common amongst first time buyers and trade ups. £25,000 was considered as a marking point price because you can get a very decent motorhome for that price, all backed by the reassurance of a warranty from the retailer.
Taking crowning glory was the Eldiss Sunseeker with reasons consisting of ease of use, size, less to go wrong and it is not likely to depreciate any time soon unlike some that are currently on the market.
Editor, Peter Vaughan said: “Getting seven different vehicles side-by-side shows the variety on offer to buyers at this price level – and £25k is reflective of the figure spent by many first-time motorhome buyers, as well as being less than half what some of the equivalent new models would cost.”
The used motorhome market can offer some great value bargains and this test has only validated this idea. Which Motorhome will run full details of the test in its February edition.
